Fragrant, concentrated, pristine.
Made from Gewurztraminer with Riesling, Pinot Auxerrois and Pinot Blanc new 2016 is as expected, fragrant. Pristine aromas of lychee and peaches, crisp green apples and lemon oil with spring blossoms are grounded with forest floor/compost notes at the core. The palate is a genuine mimic of the nose; tangy and fruity flavours are wonderfully woven across the palate, and it seems to me to be slightly drier than previous vintages, which is appreciated.
Pair: pate, strong cheeses, spicy dishes and pork dishes.
